How to Use GroupRaise

Why Schlotzsky’s is Perfect for the College Club Fundraiser

Schlotzsky’s Deli, the legendary sandwich craftsmen, has partnered with GroupRaise to host restaurant fundraisers for your college club. Schlotzsky’s has the perfect ambiance and menu for the college palate, and with over 350 GroupRaise partnered locations in cities all across the country, there will surely be a Schlotzsky’s near your college town looking to help your organization raise money!

Why a Schlotzsky’s fundraiser?

No one likes raising money, that is a fact of life. No one likes bottle drives, t-shirt sales, hounding the university for funding or hounding members for dues. But your organization needs money–to buy equipment, pay for transportation, or lessen costs for members.

The restaurant style fundraiser is ideal for college students because all you do is have fun out to eat with your friends, then the restaurant donates a percentage of the bill back to your organization. Fundraising? More like FUN-raising! (A terrible pun, we know).

Schlotzsky’s is the perfect setting for a college club fundraiser. Being a sandwich shop, it’s very reasonably priced for the college student wallet, and relatively a quick bite to fit into a busy class schedule. Despite being inexpensive and fast, the food is phenomenal–delicious signature sandwiches, mouth watering mac and cheese, artisan flatbreads, and gourmet pizza.

“Our experience was fantastic. The employees were very friendly and quick. We enjoyed our visit” – Said Morgan, from Wichita State – Exercise Science Student Organization

How it works

You select a date and time for the fundraiser; rally all of club members, supporters, friends, roommates, and more to come out and share a meal together; after the meal, Schlotzsky’s will donate 15% of your total bill to your organization!

Making a request for your fundraiser at Schlotzsky’s is a no brainer–it takes less than three minutes. All it takes is:

  1. Search for a Schlotzsky’s near you (by city or zip code),
  2. Select a date and time,
  3. Estimate the number of attendees,
  4. Press submit!

Voila! Just like that you’ve planned your fundraiser.

Our experience was fantastic. I actually stayed the whole time to welcome people and to say thanks. It also afforded me the opportunity to introduce people to each other who were there to support Ratio Christi but hadn’t met each other yet. This was an unexpected but amazing outcome from the event.

-Darren Williams, faculty advisor for Ratio Christi at SHSU and Schlotzsky’s fundraiser organizer!
