The Krispy Kreme Fundraiser and Other Sweet Ways to Raise

Posted by Bennett Slavsky

Anyone involved in an organization – nonprofit, club, sports team, etc.– knows that it can be challenging raising funds for their cause. If you need to raise some dough for your group, the Krispy Kreme fundraiser and the Cinnabon fundraiser are deliciously easy ways to get the job done.

The Krispy Kreme Fundraiser

If you and your friends are fans of their mouth-watering donuts, then Krispy Kreme fundraising is a great option for you!

Their popular Digital Dozens program has had a delicious makeover and is now available exclusively on GroupRaise.

It’s the perfect way to raise funds for your group, while also giving your participants a nice sugar-buzz to help them through those long hours of work or study. To top it off, most Krispy Kreme fundraisers earn a 40-70% profit

How it Works

Setting up your own Krispy Kreme Digital Dozen fundraising is super easy. We’ve broken it down into 3 simple steps here:

  1. Sign up and request a campaign – when requesting your campaign, you’ll be asked to set the donation goal, donut price and campaign start date.
  2. Once your fundraiser is live, you’ll receive a custom purchase page where supporters across the country can claim their dozens.
  3. Share your Campaign Promotion Page on social media, send an email blast to your friends and family, anything to spread the word to your community about how they can give back–and get great benefits in the process!

You’ll also receive custom promo tools from GroupRaise to help spread the word and ensure no-one misses out.

Supporters from all over the country can give back to your organization by ordering Krispy Kreme Digital Dozens for themselves from your unique Campaign Promotion Page and redeem their order in-store at their local Krispy Kreme.

The Sweet Deets

The fundraiser request can be made 2 days before the actual fundraiser. However, we recommend that you give more time to spread the word to as many potential supporters as possible.

There are no limits to the frequency of fundraisers one group can have. If this is a format that works for your organization, you can just keep on raising!

Supporters can purchase Digital Dozens from your Fundraising Campaign Page and redeem their order in-store during their next visit. At the end of the campaign, your donation is mailed to you as one check.

No more collecting individual payments, tracking and sending out redemption codes, or dealing with order minimums.

The Krispy Kreme fundraiser is an awesome way for groups to raise money, while simultaneously providing your supporters with some delicious donuts!

The Cinnabon Fundraiser

Looking for an alternative to a Krispy Kreme fundraiser? Add a cinnamon twist to your fundraising efforts with the Cinnabon fundraiser. With this type of fundraiser, all group members and supporters come together at a specific restaurant location during your event to feast on some tasty cinnamon buns.

How it Works

Setting up a fundraiser with Cinnabon is incredibly easy and takes less than a minute. Just follow these three steps:

  1. Select a location near you
  2. Choose a date and time
  3. Press submit!

Once the request has been approved, start spreading the word. Tell your friends to invite their friends. The more the merrier couldn’t be truer in this situation–more people means more money raised!

After the event, Cinnabon will donate 15% of the total sales during your fundraiser back to the organization within 4 to 6 weeks. It’s a super simple and delicious way to raise money for your group!

The Sweet Deets

Fundraising requests with Cinnabon must be made at least two weeks prior to your desired date. This is to give you ample time to invite as many people as possible, and for the restaurant to prepare enough frosting to satisfy those hungry college students.

There are nearly 300 Cinnabon locations across the country and surely one in your college town. Not to mention that the average meal price is just $5, a cost that will certainly appeal to any student.

There is no limit to the number of fundraisers that one group can have. If this is something that works well for your college club, make it an every other week event. This fundraiser is something that everyone could look forward to–a study break filled with friends and cinnamon rolls, while raising money at the same time!

The Cinnabon fundraiser is more than just an easy way to raise money–it doubles as a fun social outing. All sorts of friends, group members, and other peers from around campus will get together in the same place and at the same time to indulge on some scrumptious cinnamon buns!

Which is right for us?

There are benefits to both of these fundraisers. When fundraising with Krispy Kreme you can earn 40-75% profit. The Digital Dozen fundraising is a low-effort and convenient way to raise money for your organization. All you’ll have to do is: enroll, share with your community, and collect your check. That’s it!

When fundraising with Cinnabon, your group will earn 15% of the total sales. This doesn’t seem like a lot, but it adds up quickly. Recently, the Phi Upsilon Omicron honors society from Texas Woman’s University were able to raise over $350 with a Cinnabon fundraiser for their consumer services departments! When Alpha Phi Omega from University of North Texas hosted a fundraiser, they raised $300 for their Coeducational Community Service Fraternity.

Another great advantage of a Cinnabon fundraiser is the ease of planning. Making a request takes just 2 minutes! The only work that has to be done after making a request is telling your friends when and where to meet up.

All in all, these are two pretty awesome fundraising ideas that could benefit your group. Your supporters will love the opportunity to feast on some delicious donuts and cinnabons for a good cause, and all the money raised for your organization is just a sweet bonus!
