Giving Tuesday 2022: GroupRaise Fundraising Challenge

Every Giving Tuesday, individuals, communities, nonprofits, and corporations come together in the name of social good. It’s an opportunity for charitable organizations to promote greater awareness of their work and their social action campaigns. In honor of this important day, GroupRaise decided to do something a little bit different to celebrate Giving Tuesday 2022.

Giving Tuesday is rooted in the simple idea that every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to offer. It is a day that encourages people to do good, whether that be in collaboration with a nonprofit, or as an individual.

Last year, during this important day, GroupRaise organized a fundraising challenge to help their community to boost and spread the word about their fundraising campaigns and engage with their supporters.

The Giving Tuesday Fundraising Challenge

To celebrate Giving Tuesday 2022, GroupRaise launched a fundraising challenge with the Digital Dozens program to further promote acts of giving back .

The Digital Dozens fundraising program is a partnership between GroupRaise and Krispy Kreme that allows organizations and individuals to raise funds for their causes, by purchasing some delicious dozens of Original Glazed donuts.

Read more about the Digital Dozens program here.

During the challenge the top 10 Digital Dozens fundraising campaigns that sold the most dozens for their cause, would receive an extra donation from GroupRaise.

Through this initiative in a single day, over 2,000 dozens were sold which resulted in over $15,000 in donations for local organizations across the country. Each dollar went toward supporting students, community engagement, research, and much more. Our organizers went above and beyond and we’re eager to highlight their achievements:

  • Almost 200 organizations rose the call to take part in the 2022 Giving Tuesday fundraising challenge;
  • All top 10 selling organizations sold over 50 dozens for their cause;
  • 4 organizations sold over 100 Krispy Kreme dozens.
